ABOUT GROWING BRANDS THROUGH AUTHENTIC FOOD & FARM PHOTOGRAPHY I'm a commercial, editorial and advertising photographer specializing in food, farm and agriculture imagery. Or more simply, I capture images of people, what they eat and how it gets from the pasture to the plate. My clients and collaborators find me to be forward thinking, highly-creative, flexible and efficient. My shooting style is hands-on, collaborative, personalized and results oriented. I am real; soulful and definitely not perfect. My big heart guides me and my strength and grit keep it all together. On set I’m not too serious, I keep things lively and lighthearted. I value my crew as much as my clients which makes the work mutually gratifying for everyone involved . It’s all these things working in cohesion that allows for the most authentic, artistic and appealing imagery that never misses the mark. My love for photography started very early. I grew up in the suburbs just north of New York City and got my first camera, to take to sleep-away camp, when I was 8 years old. I found the camp's small darkroom a cool, quiet refuge from the hot, sticky chaos of summer. Though I have definitely outgrown my disdain for the outdoors, I will never outgrow my need to take pictures. My mother was always supportive of my career, but it wasn’t until 2007 when I was published in the New York Times she realized photography was my true calling. She screamed with excitement at the sight of my work in her daily news source and carried a copy in her purse as a prized possession, sharing it with everyone she met. Her pride and passion still inspire me today. Currently I make St. Louis my home, where I live with my husband, Joe, and our cat, Claire. When not out and about with my camera, I spend much of my time working on my cooking skills and trying to make my own garden grow. I am available for advertising agency, brand, corporate or editorial shoots worldwide.
